Our Wesak Spring Celebration
9 AM: Silent Meditation or Qigong (with David Philhour or special guest)
10 AM: Traditional Wesak Bathing of the Baby Buddha Ceremony with Chanting
11:30 AM: Potluck Lunch (Newcomers do not need to bring food)
12:30 PM PANEL DISCUSSION: IMPERMANENCE (6+ groups in the same room)
Wesak is the only yearly event where all our weekly meditation groups come together on a single day, great opportunity for newcomers to get acquainted with the different traditions and practices available at Sky Creek Dharma Center.
Open to the Public and Free Admission (Donations gladly accepted). We have three Zen groups, two Vipassana groups, a Taoist group, and two ‘eclectic’ groups open to different traditions. All these groups (or ‘Sanghas’) are donation-based and open to the public.

A non-profit, donation-based meditation center in Chico shared by peer-led Buddhist and Taoist meditation groups since 2004.
We have meditation group meetings Sunday-Friday and are open to all. There is no registration, or sign-up for any of our regular weekly groups, please just show up! Typically these groups sit in silent meditation 20-30 minutes and have a discussion, book reading, or dharma talk.
